International Trade Council
The International Trade Council (ITC) is a global, non-profit membership organisation that supports businesses, governments, and economic development agencies in navigating international trade. With a focus on fostering cross-border collaboration, the ITC provides a platform for networking, investment promotion, and the sharing of best practices across industries and regions.
In the UK, the ITC works closely with trade representatives, embassies, and private sector leaders to strengthen export opportunities, promote inward investment, and support UK-based businesses looking to expand internationally. Through forums, trade missions, policy roundtables, and events, the ITC plays a vital role in connecting British organisations with global markets while supporting sustainable and ethical trade practices.
The Brief
The Events Consultant was appointed to manage the full delivery of the Ugandan Coffee Festival Afterparty, hosted by the Ugandan High Commission at Second Home Spitalfields. The brief was to create an authentic, vibrant and well-structured evening event for 100 guests, celebrating Uganda’s rich coffee culture with live entertainment, traditional food, and a welcoming environment for dignitaries and VIPs.
With a guest list including the Ugandan High Commissioner, members of the International Trade Council, and key stakeholders from across London’s diplomatic and cultural circles, the event required smooth logistics, confident leadership, and flawless delivery.
Our Approach
We took on complete responsibility for the event — from concept to execution. Working closely with the client, we created a delivery schedule, took control of the budget, and sourced a trusted team of suppliers who could bring the event to life.
Cultural authenticity was a top priority. We brought in a Ugandan chef to design a traditional menu, and worked with entertainment agency Just Talent to book live Ugandan musicians. We also managed all event logistics, speech timings, and post-event content creation — ensuring every detail aligned with the brief.
